Importing from BMO

BMO Online Banking lets you download transaction history as a CSV file. Here's how to get your transactions into Sproute.

Supported methods

CSV

You'll need access to bmo.com (BMO's online banking portal).

Step 1: Export from BMO

  1. 1 Log in to BMO Online Banking and select your account
  2. 2 Click the Download button above the transactions table
  3. 3 Select your date range
  4. 4 Choose Spreadsheet (CSV format) from the download format menu
  5. 5 Click Download to save the file

Step 2: Import into Sproute

  1. 1 Open Sproute and navigate to your BMO card
  2. 2 Click Import Transactions and select CSV
  3. 3 Select your downloaded BMO CSV file
  4. 4 Review and confirm the import

Tips

  • BMO CSV format is auto-detected by Sproute — no special configuration needed
  • Credit card transactions are available for 90 days; other accounts up to 24 months
  • CSV export is only available on the desktop website — the BMO mobile app does not support CSV downloads
  • For best results, download in 3–6 month chunks
  • All data stays on your machine — nothing is uploaded
