Importing from RBC Royal Bank
RBC Online Banking lets you download transaction history as a CSV file. Here's how to get your transactions into Sproute.
Supported methods
CSV
You'll need access to rbcroyalbank.com (RBC's online banking portal).
Step 1: Export from RBC
- 1 Log in to RBC Online Banking and go to My Accounts
- 2 Select the account you want to download transactions from
- 3 Click the Download button above the transactions table
- 4 Select CSV format and choose your date range
- 5 Click Continue to save the file
Step 2: Import into Sproute
- 1 Open Sproute and navigate to your RBC card
- 2 Click Import Transactions and select CSV
- 3 Select your downloaded RBC CSV file
- 4 Review and confirm the import
Tips
- RBC credit card CSVs use negative amounts for charges — Sproute has a built-in RBC parser that handles this automatically
- CSV downloads cover the last 90–180 days; for older transactions, use PDF statement import
- CSV export is only available on the desktop website — the RBC mobile app does not support CSV downloads
- All data stays on your machine — nothing is uploaded
