Importing from CIBC
CIBC Online Banking lets you download transaction history as a CSV file. Here's how to get your transactions into Sproute.
Supported methods
CSV
You'll need access to cibc.com (CIBC's online banking portal).
Step 1: Export from CIBC
- 1 Log in to CIBC Online Banking and click Download Transactions
- 2 Select your account from the dropdown menu
- 3 Choose your date range (up to 13 months)
- 4 Select CSV from the format dropdown
- 5 Click Download Transactions to save the file
Step 2: Import into Sproute
- 1 Open Sproute and navigate to your CIBC card
- 2 Click Import Transactions and select CSV
- 3 Select your downloaded CIBC CSV file
- 4 Review and confirm the import
Tips
- CIBC CSV format is auto-detected by Sproute — no special configuration needed
- You can download up to 13 months of history; transactions from the last 1–2 business days may not appear yet
- CSV export is only available on the desktop website — the CIBC mobile app does not support CSV downloads
- All data stays on your machine — nothing is uploaded
